It's a bit annoying but not brutal, crashes stopped, just sluggish (but then so am I).Ĭouple of days ago I loaded my secondary, Interiors license, onto the Dell (less juice) to see if we could use it with my new hire. The biggest issues I had were with X6 plans brought over so keeping those where they are but they are mostly finishing up. I've got too much work invested in X7 plans and no time to muck with it. Staying with 7 for those plans that are in it. The library browser does not seem to be a problem on my machine. I would be interested for you to watch the video and download the X6 file. That is why I posted a plan to make all the same except X6 vs X7. I understand that slowness may be subjective. If you look at the link to the old post there is a video of X7 vs X6 and a plan that others have downloaded and are seeing the same issues on the same plan between X6 & X7. This is something that should be relatively easy to duplicate and observe.Ĭhief Tech Support has confirmed the issue with the plan I submitted. The visual display of the Library Browser is much appreciated but does seem to tax my PC's video card more than X6 does BUT the X6 Library Browser is still harder to use, if "faster". On my PC this takes about five seconds from the time I open the Library Browser and select a visual category to view. The main slowness I have observed is when I open the Library Browser, it takes a moment for the library images to parse or appear on screen. Only instances of behavior that will be found on all Windows PC's can be directly confronted and handled by Chief Architect Tech Support (if they can see the same results you are getting, then they can then AND ONLY THEN, do something useful for us all. I would just also point out that a Windows PC's performance is not identical, machine to machine due to the variability of hardware and the variability of maintenance and use of that hardware by the end user. I realize that "slowness" is a subjective and personal matter based on experience. I have observed that on my PC X7 is a little slower (a little slower). Larger numbers leave a gap in the center.I have read the complaints about X7 like everyone else. A value of 0 makes the cross hairs meet at a point. The aperture is the space where the crosshairs meet. Set the Aperture Size, measured in pixels.Specify the Size (%) of Window Width as 100% to extend the cross hairs across the entire screen. Crosshair size is specified as a percentage of the width of the view window.Click the color bar to open the Color Chooser dialog and specify the color of the crosshairs. If you feel that they do not keep up with your mouse movements, try unchecking this option. When Synchronize with Cursor is checked, the mouse pointer and crosshairs always move together on screen.Check Enable in Perspective Views to use a crosshair cursor in perspective camera views and overviews.Check Enable in Plan and Cross Section/Elevation Views to use a crosshair cursor in floor plan, cross section and elevation views. In the Preferences dialog, select the Edit panel.Select Edit> Preferences if you're on a Windows PC or Chief Architect> Preferences if you're on a Mac.First, launch Chief Architect and choose the New Plan option or you can start a new plan by going to File> New Plan. The crosshairs are controlled by program preferences for all plans. What do I need to do to get the crosshairs back? It is instead displaying as a regular pointer or a text cursor. When drawing in Chief Architect, I am used to my mouse pointer being a precision crosshair. The information in this article applies to:
